The Hess Bakken Facilities Construction Team has earned industry recognition for its extraordinary safety record. In the past three years, the team worked more than 2.5 million hours without a recordable injury while also reducing high-potential incidents and first aid cases. The last OSHA recordable injury occurred in November 2014.
At a celebration during the August 24 Colorado Oil & Gas Association's Energy Summit in Denver, the team earned a Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Award for excellence in health and safety.
"It was a team effort of improvement and top quartile safety performance," said Brandon Herda, Manager, Environmental Health and Safety for the Hess Bakken Well Factory and Infrastructure.
